Postgraduate Photographer

Fueled by the discovery of a story, I have a great affinity for documentary photography, whether that is discovering the interlinking relationships within a community, the history behind forgotten places or the connections between people to the land we inhabit, I am forever on the hunt for the next narrative to bring into the light. As a photographer from a fine art background, I am always keen to look for that unique perspective for a project, finding motivation from exploring the hidden places usually left undiscovered. I adore the simple photograph, a still and quiet picture with subtle narratives can be more potent than busy photographs; complex pictures can be an assault on the senses, perhaps deliberately overwhelming, yet I find their true meanings difficult to interpret.

Aside from my personal practice, I am professional in my approach and empathetic in my outlook, I encourage a close working relationship with my clients, which facilitates a deeper discovery into the founding message behind their project, sometimes defining this true essence can be the most complex aspect, yet from here, the project can only but flourish.

I am an advocate for travel and exploration, perhaps a nomad at heart, I find such joy in new places, new people and new ideas. Always keen for change I actively seek new perspectives to further my understandings of photography.

This is an art form that can bring such joy; a gift to analyse the world around us.
